Next in your van we've got your boiler and your boiler drain. Now your boiler is located underneath your bed here, and your boiler drain is also in here. You come down to the front section of this panel here, and this here is your boiler drain. Now, you see the red valve on the top there?

That is your boiler drain. It's currently in the down position, which means it's in the draining or drained position, and what we need to do is bring that into the up position by pulling the red notch up. Once the red notch is in the up position, it means we can fill the boiler up with water. Now, this valve is also a frost protection valve, which means it will dump itself if it gets too cold.

This also means that sometimes during the winter months you may find you need to put your heating system on first to heat the area up before you're able to close this valve off, as if it's too cold, it will not allow you to pull that red notch into the up position. Now that we've closed off the boiler drain, it means we can fill that boiler up with water, and to do that, we simply come to one of our taps. You can come to any tap throughout the van. I usually go for the kitchen tap.

We turn it to the hot side, which is red, and we open it. As soon as you open the tap, it's going to activate the micro switch in the tap, which will turn on the water pump. The water pump will then start to pull water from the fresh water tank underneath this seat here. It'll start pushing it into the bottom of the boiler, and once the boiler's full, we'll get a nice steady flow coming out of the tap.

Now, to begin with, you may experience spitting, trickling, and gargling, but these are all good signs. It's pushing all of the air out of the water system. Once we've achieved a nice steady flow of water, it indicates that the boiler's full and ready to turn on.
