Benimar is a Spanish motorhome builder founded in 1974 on the Mediterranean coast at Benicarlo, with its current factory and headquarters at Peniscola in the province of Castellon. The company built its first motorhome in 1978, moved to series production in 1986, and was acquired by the French Trigano Group in 2002, which also owns Auto-Sleepers, Chausson and Marquis Leisure in the UK. Benimar's UK range is split across four families: the Cocoon and Tessoro low-profile and semi-integrated coachbuilts on Ford Transit, the Mileo semi-integrated coachbuilts on Fiat Ducato, and the Amphitryon A-class on Fiat Ducato.
