How do I sell my motorhome?
You have three routes: sell it privately, sell it to a dealer for cash, or use a broker who sells it for you at retail price. We are the third. Answer a few questions online, get a free valuation, and your advert goes live the same day. We handle the buyers; you approve every offer.
How long does it take to sell a motorhome?
Half sell within 36 days, measured across 386 completed sales. Some go in under a week. If yours doesn't sell, you pay nothing. Price is the biggest factor, and you can change yours any time from your dashboard.
How much does it cost to sell my motorhome?
Nothing upfront, and nothing at all unless it sells. The fee is £1,500 up to £10,000, £2,000 from £10,001 to £33,333, and 6% above that. So a £50,000 motorhome costs £3,000 and you keep £47,000. You see your exact figure before you sign.
Do you buy motorhomes for cash?
No. We are a brokerage, so we sell yours for you rather than buying it ourselves. A cash buyer has to leave room for their own resale margin, so their offer sits below retail. Tony had cash offers of £45,000 to £51,500 and took home £56,396 through us instead.
What happens if my motorhome doesn't sell?
You pay nothing. No listing fee, no advertising costs, no charge for our time. You can change your price whenever you like, and your account manager will tell you straight what the market is saying.
Do I have to accept an offer?
No. Every offer shows exactly what you would receive, and you accept or decline it yourself. Mark turned down £28,000, £28,500 and £30,000 in his first four days. He sold for £31,500 on day seven.
Will strangers come to my house?
Only buyers we have vetted, at times you have approved. Your address never appears on the advert - buyers see your town and nothing else. The price is agreed in writing before anyone visits, and the money clears before the keys move.
Can I sell a motorhome with outstanding finance?
Yes, and it is very common. We settle the finance out of the sale proceeds and you receive the balance. Mention it when you get your valuation and we will show you what you would actually take home.
Where will my motorhome be advertised?
On our own marketplace the day you sign, and on AutoTrader within 1 working day. The AutoTrader advert is included free - private sellers pay a listing fee either way. We advertise across our paid and social channels too.
Who will I be dealing with?
A named account manager in Halifax, West Yorkshire. No call centres, no franchises, no cold calls. Motorhome Pig is family-run by Gary Cheetham, who has over 30 years in the motor trade, is MCEA Registered, a licensed MOT tester and an AWS NCC trained mobile caravan engineer, and his son Gary Lewis Cheetham, who built the platform the business runs on.

How we worked those figures out
* “Get up to £10,000 more than a trade price.” Measured on 11 August 2026 across the 16 completed sales where we hold both a trade valuation for the motorhome and its final figures. For each one we took what the seller actually banked — the sale price, less our fee — and compared it to the trade price. £10,000 is the best result in that set and two sellers reached it, so please read “up to” as a ceiling rather than an expectation. The typical outcome was smaller: the middle figure was £4,248 more and the average was £4,712 more. Fifteen of the sixteen banked more than the trade price, every one of them by at least £2,500.
Who collects it, and when you get paid. Your motorhome stays on your own drive throughout — you never have to take it anywhere, and it is collected from your home. On a brokerage sale the person who collects it is the buyer, not us: we vet them, agree the price in writing and arrange the handover with you, and the money is cleared into your account before the keys change hands. So it is collection from home and payment on the day, but by the buyer we found for you rather than us buying it ourselves.
* Neil’s 2025 Hymer Free S 600. Sold through Motorhome Pig in May 2026, 21 days after going live, for £78,000. After our 6% success fee of £4,680, Neil received £73,320. The best genuine trade and cash offers he had been quoted at that point were around £68,000 — so he received about £5,300 more than the trade price, after our fee had been paid. * Tony’s 2021 Swift Kon-Tiki Sport 599. Sold in 23 days for its full £59,995 asking price. After a £3,599 fee (6%), Tony received £56,396. The best trade offer he had been quoted elsewhere before listing was £51,500, so he received about £4,900 more than that, after our fee. We compare against the best offer he had rather than the worst: his quotes ran from about £45,000 – £51,500, and measuring from the bottom of that range would flatter us by thousands.
