How to activate
Call Caravan Guard on 01422 396 749 before collection and quote “Motorhome Pig” and “14 day free”. Cover is not automatic — it must be activated by phone. They will confirm the cover start date with you on the call.

Is the 14-day driveaway cover really free?
Yes. There is no charge to you for the 14 days of cover. Caravan Guard offer it through their approved dealer network as a way to introduce buyers to their service. To activate it you call Caravan Guard before collection on 01422 396 749 and quote “Motorhome Pig” and “14 day free”.
What does the 14-day cover include?
Fully comprehensive cover underwritten by RSA, including the same core perils as Caravan Guard's annual policy — theft, fire, storm, flood and accidental damage — along with £100,000 motor legal expenses, £20m public liability, £5,000 contents and equipment, and UK breakdown. Full terms are issued by Caravan Guard.
Am I obligated to take the annual policy?
No. The 14 days is genuinely free and there is no obligation to take the 12-month quote that Caravan Guard provide. The annual quote is for you to compare against your current renewal.
Can I drive home immediately after handover?
Yes — provided you have activated the cover with Caravan Guard before collection. Activation is by phone and is not automatic, so call them ahead of the handover date.
What if I already have a motorhome insurance policy?
You can still activate the 14-day driveaway cover, and you can also still request the 12-month quote from Caravan Guard to compare with your current renewal. There is no requirement to switch.
Does the 14-day period count towards no-claims discount?
A 14-day period on its own is too short to earn a full year's no-claims bonus. It bridges the gap so that you remain continuously insured between handover and the start of your annual policy. Caravan Guard will confirm how no-claims discount works on the annual policy when they speak to you.
