About Concorde motorhomes
Concorde Reisemobile is one of Germany's premium A-class motorhome builders, founded in 1981 by caravanning industry veteran Helmut Reimann at Schluesselfeld-Aschbach in Bavaria, in a former Tabbert factory. The company built its first motorhomes, the Concorde 500 RS and 500 XS, on Ford Transit chassis in its first year and switched fully to motorhome production in 1985. Today around 400 vehicles a year leave the Aschbach plant. The model range is built almost entirely as A-class, with a clear hierarchy: the Credo as the compact entry point on the Fiat Ducato, the Carver as a mid-size A-class on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, the long-running Charisma on Iveco Daily or Iveco Eurocargo, the Liner as a heavy A-class on Iveco, and the Centurion flagship on Mercedes Atego and Mercedes Actros truck chassis up to 26 tonnes (with an Iveco Daily 7.5t option introduced for 2020 so it can be driven on a standard licence). The Cruiser keeps the traditional alcove format alive on Iveco. Construction is bonded GRP sandwich with double floors and very high payloads. UK buyers are typically full-timers and high-spec users prepared to pay German premium-tier prices, with most cars sold left-hand drive and imported privately or through specialists.
Frequently asked questions about Concorde motorhomes
Where are Concorde motorhomes built?
Concorde motorhomes are built in Germany at the company's factory in Schluesselfeld-Aschbach, in northern Bavaria, where the business has been based since founder Helmut Reimann acquired a former Tabbert plant there in 1981. Annual output is around 400 vehicles.
What chassis do Concorde motorhomes use?
Concorde uses different chassis depending on the model tier. The compact Credo sits on the Fiat Ducato, the Carver uses the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, the Charisma and Liner are built on the Iveco Daily or Eurocargo, and the Centurion flagship is built on Mercedes Atego or Actros truck chassis, with an Iveco Daily 7.5-tonne variant offered from 2020.
Are Concorde motorhomes right-hand drive?
Concorde does not produce right-hand drive as standard. The factory builds for the German and continental European markets, so almost all Concorde motorhomes in the UK are left-hand drive imports, either bought new through specialists or sourced second-hand from continental Europe.
