About Niesmann+Bischoff motorhomes

Niesmann+Bischoff is the luxury A-class specialist of the Erwin Hymer Group, based at a single dedicated factory in Polch in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The Niesmann name dates back to a caravan distribution business set up by Elfriede and Hugo Niesmann in the late 1950s; the modern company was formed when Rainer Bischoff convinced Carl-Heinz Niesmann to switch from importing American RVs to building tailored European motorhomes, and the first Clou rolled out in 1981. The business became part of the Erwin Hymer Group in 1996. The current range is built around three integrated A-class platforms: the iSmove, a more compact, panoramic-windowed A-class on the Fiat Ducato AL-KO chassis aimed at active couples; the Arto, the core luxury range which from 2024 moved off Fiat and onto the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with 9G-Tronic automatic, including the tag-axle Arto 84 and Arto 88; and the Flair, the brand's flagship liner, built on a heavy-duty Iveco Daily chassis (with the new Daily cab arriving for model year 2026). Construction is double-floor, with the Polch Lily emblem identifying every vehicle since 2008. Polch produces around 650 vehicles a year, priced from roughly 90,000 GBP up to 200,000 GBP-plus, and Niesmann+Bischoff is regarded in the same top-tier bracket as Concorde, Morelo and Carthago. Vehicles are left-hand drive only; in the UK Travelworld at Stafford has been the dedicated dealer for around 15 years.
