About Trigano motorhomes

Trigano S.A. was founded in 1935 by Edgard Trigano in Paris, originally as a textile and camping-equipment supplier, and is headquartered today at Rue Petit in the 19th arrondissement. After floating on the Paris stock exchange in 1998 the company embarked on an aggressive acquisition trail and is now Europe's largest leisure-vehicle manufacturer, operating production sites across France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Slovenia and the UK. The portfolio runs to more than 25 motorhome, caravan and accessories brands, including the British names Auto-Trail (Grimsby, acquired 1999) and Auto-Sleepers (Willersey, Cotswolds, acquired 2017), French brands Chausson and Challenger, Italian brands Roller Team, CI, Mobilvetta, McLouis and Rimor, the Spanish brand Benimar, the Slovenian market leader Adria (acquired 2017), and the German A-class specialist Eura Mobil. Trigano also owns the UK dealer chain Marquis Leisure. Beyond being a parent group, Trigano is also a motorhome brand in its own right: the Trigano Tribute, built at Trigano VDL in Tournon-sur-Rhone, is a long-running value Fiat Ducato low-profile coachbuilt sold in the UK through Marquis. UK buyers will most often encounter the name on a Tribute, but the group's reach means that a Roller Team, Chausson, Auto-Trail or Auto-Sleepers is also, ultimately, a Trigano product.

Frequently asked questions about Trigano motorhomes

What brands does Trigano own?

Trigano owns more than 25 leisure-vehicle brands. In motorhomes these include Auto-Trail and Auto-Sleepers in the UK, Chausson and Challenger in France, Roller Team, CI, Mobilvetta, McLouis and Rimor in Italy, Benimar in Spain, Adria in Slovenia and Eura Mobil in Germany. It also owns the UK dealer network Marquis Leisure and builds the Trigano Tribute motorhome under its own name.

Is Trigano a motorhome brand or a parent company?

Both. Trigano S.A. is the French parent group that sits above brands like Auto-Trail, Chausson, Adria and Rimor, but Trigano-badged motorhomes are also sold in their own right, most commonly the Trigano Tribute, a value-priced low-profile coachbuilt on the Fiat Ducato. Tributes are built by Trigano VDL in France and distributed in the UK by Marquis Leisure.

Where are Trigano motorhomes built?

Trigano-branded motorhomes such as the Tribute are produced at the group's Trigano VDL plant in Tournon-sur-Rhone in southern France. The wider Trigano Group has manufacturing sites across six countries - France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Slovenia and the UK - where each subsidiary brand builds in its home country (for example Auto-Trail in Grimsby, Adria in Slovenia and Rimor in Poggibonsi).
