2001 Rapido Le Randonneur Motorhome — Video Tour

This is a quick walkthrough of our van, just behind the front passenger door there's the gas container which will take two large gas bottles, neither are connected at the moment but there's the space for the gas as we make our way towards the back of the vehicle. We have the electric hook-up point, the standard plug-in there and your water tank filling point. We then come down towards the back of the vehicle and we've got the toilet cassette that just lifts out with the standard method. Right underneath the vehicle there are stabilisers for when you're on site to minimise the rocking of the vehicle and on the back of it you can see the four-bike bike rack and right at the top the reversing camera and we then come around the side of the vehicle to the under-bed storage area accessible from the outside, quite a large storage area to take chairs and other equipment and the first of the two leisure batteries.

The second leisure battery is underneath that carpeted area there. As we make our way to the front we've got two external gas ports and the outlet for the fridge and then the connection for the external shower unit, really useful for washing off bikes and dogs that kind of thing. Then we come to the habitation door which has got the FIAMA secure lock on it. We've got the steps which we collect either by pressing the button on the inside of the cab or when you start the engine it automatically retracts.

We then go into the motor home and this is the area that makes up the third sleeping area. This table drops down to make the bed. Just above that we've got storage, four cupboards just up there and just over the top of the cab there are two more long storage cupboards here and then just inside the front door we have the electrical panel that controls everything else that's going on which shows you the power that's coming from the solar panel that's on the roof. Two good storage cabinets above the cooker where we have a hot water cold water sink and the three burner hob and then down to below that is the oven and below that is a pan storage cupboard.

We then come to the rear of the vehicle. We've lifted up the bed so you can get access to the under the bed storage area which is the full length of the bed and that is on hydraulics and that just comes down to provide you with your sleeping area and above that there are five really good sized cupboards. We then come on towards the front of the vehicle and we've got our toilet area with wash basin and cupboard with mirror and then right at the back here here we've got the shower unit. It's got its own little shower door, shower head, nice little space to shower in.

As we come out of the toilet area we then have a large wardrobe. This is the cushion that makes up the third bed, third sleeping area. The pole there is from the aerial which is on the roof so it has got television facility if you need television and then underneath there is the gas fire which provides blown heating for the rest of the vehicle. We then have a sliding door giving us more storage space that's nice and secure.

Then we've got this large fridge with freezer compartment on the top. We open this up this way but the really clever thing about the freezer is and the fridge is that it will open both ways giving you access left or right. Nice very large fridge and even in that way. There is a little storage area here.

The black case has all the paperwork in for all the appliances and there is more storage down behind the table. The two seats at the front, the passenger seat rotates through 180 degrees to give you access to the table for dining. The driver's seat only rotates through 90 degrees because of this large seat here which has a tremendous storage capacity so we've got lots and lots of storage within the vehicle.
