Questions & Answers
Buyer Christopher Kempe enquired about the 2001 Peugeot Boxer and asked about damp/damage among other things.
No damp. The only damage is a cracked rear tail light, where the owner's son clipped it with his car.
Buyer Vikki (Autotrader enquiry, 4 Oct 2026) says it's too far for her to view. She asked for more photos and whether a habitation check and a moisture check had been done. Seller details say it has never had a habitation check. The owner said earlier there's no damp, but we don't have a formal moisture reading on file.
The owner says the motorhome is completely dry ("dry as a bone"). He has never had a moisture/damp meter reading or a formal damp check done, as he has never felt it needed one. He hasn't said anything about extra photos yet.
Buyer John asked about the underside condition and any rotten bits, plus service history (service history already answered from existing details).
The owner says that at 25 years old there will be a speck of rust and possibly a bit of rot underneath, and that it's for the buyer to assess at a viewing and decide.
Buyer Janette (Gumtree enquiry) asked if the back living area converts into a bed.
Yes - the rear lounge converts into a double bed: the sides of the seats pull out to make it. The owner says the motorhome can sleep 6, but 4 comfortably.
Buyer Chris Moore (AutoTrader enquiry) asked if the vehicle is in good mechanical working order.
The owner says it's mechanically sound and a new battery has now been fitted. He's also asked us to make clear that the price is firm at the £12,000 asking price, and he isn't open to offers below it.
Buyer Gaz Sandall enquired via the website asking about heating/water: fresh water capacity and waste water capacity.
The owner estimates the fresh water tank holds about 40 litres and the waste water tank about 80 litres. These are his estimates, not confirmed figures.
Buyer Stefan (Leeds, eBay enquiry) emailed 12 Oct 2026 asking about MOT advisories on wheel bearings and an oil leak. He also asked for the best price, given there's no current MOT. The owner has previously said the price is firm at £12,000, and I'm passing that back to the buyer.
The owner says no, neither the wheel bearings nor the oil leak has been dealt with since the last MOT. He points out they were advisories rather than failures.
Buyer Jacque (first motorhome, from Milnrow) asked on 12 Oct 2026 whether the rear lounge converts into one double bed (we already have the owner's answer: yes, the seat sides pull out) and whether the dining area converts into a bed too. The owner hasn't answered the dining area question before.
The owner says the dining area has the potential to convert into a bed, but he has never had the boards needed to make it up, as he never needed it. So as it stands, the dining area doesn't currently make up into a bed without the extra boards.
Buyer Jacque Williams (inq on this listing) emailed 12 Oct 2026. She already knows the rear lounge pulls out into a double and that the dining area needs boards. She's now unsure whether to make up the double or keep the lounge as two settees and use one as a single bed. She's travelling with two dogs. Her finance referral is already open as a task.
The owner says the side settees in the rear lounge are about 6ft long, so they can be slept on as singles without pulling the seats out to make up the double.
Buyer Jacque Williams emailed on 13 Oct 2026 at 11:08 after checking the MOT history (expired April 2025). She is still waiting on the dinette and weight plate questions, and her finance referral is with the team. We have no viewing or offer on file. I'm relaying her questions; nothing has been promised on the seller's behalf.
Yes, it's currently SORN, which you can see on the tax check. The owner says it was driven right up to when the MOT ran out in April 2025, including a trip to Wales and back to Portsmouth. He has said before that he won't be putting a fresh MOT on it, because it isn't insured or taxed and he won't insure and tax it just for that.
Buyer Jack (AutoTrader enquiry) asked how old the tyres are and whether there's any corrosion history.
The owner says the tyres are less than 3 years old, and they are winter tyres. He didn't give separate dates for the alloys and tyres that are off the vehicle.

Seller's ID verified by Motorhome PigA quick honest note
Because you're buying directly from the owner, the condition of the motorhome is yours to judge on the day - and that's a good thing (it's why there's no dealer markup). We verify ownership and run an HPI check; the motorhome's condition is the one thing best judged in person. We'll give you a checklist so you can view like a pro and satisfy yourself everything's spot-on before you buy.
Our checks cover the seller and the registers, not the vehicle itself, and they rely on data supplied to us by third parties, so we can't accept responsibility for errors or omissions in it. However thorough our checks are, please arrange your own independent inspection and your own history check before you commit to buying.
