The owner advises full Fiat service history and full habitation service history, with the van bought new from and maintained by Tyne Valley Motorhomes and serviced at a local commercial Fiat garage in Aberdeenshire. Andrew Lee is interested in the 2021 Auto-Trail Grande Frontier and specifically ticked "Damp/damage" and "Marks/scratches" as questions he wants answered.
Damp: the owner has the damp test results for the last five years, all carried out as part of the dealer habitation services by Tyne Valley Motorhomes — no damp recorded in any of them. Cosmetically: there's a small repaired crack on the offside front mud guard, which the owner says could be completely repaired with little effort. Nothing else noted.
Buyer Paul enquired via AutoTrader on 21 Sep 2026 about the 2021 Auto-Trail Grande Frontier (£69,149). He's asked whether the gearbox is 6-speed or 8-speed and says he won't buy one with Comfort-Matic. Not something we can confirm from the listing details, so asking the owner.
The owner believes it's the 9-speed automatic. In his words it's far too smooth to be an automated manual — he's driven automatics for over 40 years and says this is one of the smoothest boxes he's driven, second only to a CVT. He's aware some of the earlier Fiat automatic boxes had reliability issues, but this one has been trouble-free to date and he hasn't heard of any other Grande Frontier owners having problems with it.
