Questions & Answers

Q

Keen buyer asking if the seller would be willing to get a habitation/damp check carried out before sale, and also asking whether the price is negotiable.

A

The seller says the buyer is welcome to come and view the motorhome first, and those things (habitation check/price flexibility) can be discussed after they've seen it in person.

Q

Detailed buyer (Reza) wants confirmation on rear brake binding repair + invoice, exhaust condition, and cambelt/water pump replacement proof before arranging a viewing.

A

1) Rear brakes: the seller advises this was an advisory only and the motorhome passed its MOT — the tester told them it was nothing to worry about but would re-check it at the next MOT. 2) Exhaust: the seller notes exhaust systems naturally corrode over time, but it passed its MOT so it's serviceable. 3) Cambelt and water pump: these have NOT been replaced during the seller's ownership. The seller adds that the MOT tester commented it was one of the best examples they'd seen in a long time, and warmly invites the buyer to come and view it and carry out any independent checks they'd like.

Q

Buyer Richard is interested but has noticed from past MOTs that there was corrosion underneath needing welding, and wants to know how bad it was.

A

The seller isn't aware of the detail behind the MOT history and doesn't have a record of any welding work. What they can say is that the motorhome has passed its last two MOTs without issue, and the most recent examiner commented it was one of the best examples they'd seen. The seller warmly invites the buyer to come and view it and carry out any independent inspection or checks they'd like before purchase.

A quick honest note

Because you're buying directly from the owner, the condition of the motorhome is yours to judge on the day — and that's a good thing (it's why there's no dealer markup). We verify ownership and history; the motorhome's condition is the one thing best judged in person. We'll give you a checklist so you can view like a pro and satisfy yourself everything's spot-on before you buy.

How Buying Works

We make buying a motorhome safe, simple, and stress-free. Here's how we help you every step of the way.

1

Find Your Perfect Match

Our site is not open to the public. All sellers are under exclusive 90-day contracts with Motorhome Pig, having signed legally binding agreements. We verify the owner's identity and ownership and run HPI, finance and theft checks on every vehicle — the condition itself is yours to judge in person when you view it.

2

Meet the Real Owner

We arrange your viewing at the motorhome's location and give you everything you need to make a confident decision — including a simple checklist of what to look at, from damp and habitation to the engine and paperwork. No pressure, no salesperson — just you, the owner, and the motorhome. Take your time and ask anything.

3

Secure Handover

We provide finance options, handover guidance, and support with the V5 and paperwork. No buyer fees — the price you see is the price you pay.

💚 No Buyer Fees— The price you see is exactly what you pay. We're here to help, not add costs.
