What is the actual year of manufacture for the Hymer B544?
The owner confirms it is a 1998 vehicle. The 2005 date appearing in some adverts was a data entry error.
Is the Hymer built on an AL-KO chassis and is the air suspension rear air bags only?
The owner says it is on the standard Fiat Ducato chassis rather than an AL-KO chassis. The owner also confirms the air bags are rear only, and that they were already fitted when the owner bought the motorhome, so the make of the system is not known.
Is the motorhome fully winterised and has the water system been drained for frost protection?
The owner confirms that it is always drained down for the winter, and says the Hymer automatically dumps all the water once the temperature drops below a certain point.
Have any welding repairs been carried out on the chassis or bodywork?
The owner says no welding has been done. The underside corrosion noted at the last MOT was only an advisory, and the owner says most of the rust was on the tow bar, which has since been removed.
Is the mileage shown in kilometres or miles?
The owner confirms the motorhome is a left-hand drive import, so the odometer reads in kilometres rather than miles. The MOT record showing 195,554 was the kilometre reading recorded as miles, and the advert mileage has been converted into miles. The owner says the figures match once converted, with 195,554 km being about 121,500 miles.
