Questions & Answers
William Lowther enquired via the listing page asking about damp/damage, tyre condition, and marks/scratches on the 2005 Elddis Autostratus FB.
The owner confirms no damp was found at the habitation check (the motorhome was bought from JMT Leisure, Weston-super-Mare). The tyres are in good condition, and there were no advisories on the MOT in July. There is some slight damage to the rear offside corner, which the owner says is only noticeable up close. Other than that, there are the normal marks you'd expect on a vehicle of this age.
Buyer Alun Davies asked what solar capacity the motorhome has. The listing confirms a solar panel is fitted but gives no wattage.
The owner says the motorhome has two solar panels, and their combined capacity should be somewhere between 200W and 300W depending on the weather. There's no separate solar control panel or display inside, so there isn't a readout showing the wattage.
AutoTrader buyer Chris Moore asked for details about any mechanical work done on the motorhome.
The owner says they haven't had any mechanical repairs done since they bought the motorhome in April 2025. They do have the paperwork for any work the previous owners had done.
Buyer L Stevenson asked whether the advert shows solar panel wattage and leisure-battery capacities. Combined solar of 200-300W is already known; battery capacities and ages are not.
The owner has corrected the advert: the motorhome has one leisure battery, not two. There isn't any paperwork for the battery and he doesn't know how old it is. It was already fitted when he bought the motorhome in 2025. He'd need to go to the storage lock-up to check its capacity (Ah). He hasn't given the rating of each solar panel. His earlier answer was that the two panels together give somewhere between 200W and 300W, depending on the weather.
Buyer Dean Fletcher asked via eBay: "Has the cam belt been changed?"
The owner says the cam belt hasn't been changed while he's owned the motorhome, and he didn't see any record of it being changed in the MOT or service paperwork he has from before.
