Buyer Jackie & Wayne asked about condition/marks and wear, whether the van will be serviced again, exactly what's included in the sale, and the seller's reason for selling.
Condition: the owner describes it as excellent overall — the interior is immaculate and the exterior is excellent. Servicing: the next service is due in November. If a buyer comes forward before then, the owner intends to have it serviced again for the buyer's peace of mind, and is confident it will be straightforward. Included in the sale: nothing further beyond the two smart TVs, the awning and the mirror-armour wing protectors already listed. However, the owner has a number of accessories he's happy to offer the buyer at heavily discounted prices before they go to a wider market — photos and details can be shared. Reason for selling: simply that they don't use the motorhome anywhere near as much as they thought they would. Other points the owner wanted to pass on: - It has recently sailed through its MOT, valid until 11 August 2027. - It has had annual habitation checks. The most recent, on 9 July 2026, identified a small localised area of water ingress, which is booked in to be rectified on 24 September and the owner will make sure that's completed. - It's fitted with a Scorpion tracker.
Buyer Greg Bates (Autotrader enquiry, 30 Oct 2026) asked about the wet belt, the habitation and damp certificates, servicing and smoking. I answered what's on file (annual hab checks, last one 9 July 2026, non-smoker). He also said he thinks it's overpriced, but made no offer.
1) Wet belt: it hasn't been changed. The owner's understanding is that it's due at 60,000 miles, and the motorhome has only done around 17,000. 2) Water ingress repair: the work on the small area found at the July 2026 habitation check was carried out as planned, and the owner has the paperwork to confirm it. The repairer has recommended a quick follow-up check in January, which they say is standard, and the owner has no reason to think there's any further issue. 3) Damp report: there's no separate damp report apart from the habitation check certificates, because checking for damp is part of what the habitation check does. The owner has kept the annual habitation checks up to date and is happy for a buyer to arrange any independent extra checks they think are needed.
Buyer Jackie Sebury emailed 5 Sep saying she hasn't ruled out the Chausson but is concerned about the water issue. She has already been told the ingress was found at the 9 July hab check and is booked in for rectification on 24 Sep. Asking the owner for detail and proof of repair so she can make a decision.
