2018 Peugeot Boxer Campervan Conversion

The unladen/kerb weight of the base van is 2000kg, with a maximum (gross) weight of 3500kg. The owner notes the van hasn't been weighed with the conversion fitted, so the exact kerb weight with the conversion in isn't confirmed.

Mostly age-related marks: a few small scuffs and stone chips, and a few small areas of paint bubbling. There is a dent at the top rear right corner, but it doesn't affect the doors or anything.

The fixed rear bed is a small double: 120cm wide and roughly 180cm long (about 5'10"). It runs across the width of the van and can only really be extended by re-organising the whole layout.

It's a self-build. The conversion was originally done around 2022 by the previous owner, and the current owner modified it and changed a few bits last year.

1) Handbrake: it was looked at as part of the MOT, but the owner says it's probably worth having it fully replaced now. 2) Windscreen: yes, it has been replaced earlier this year. 3) Gas: no LPG system — gas is for the cooker only, using standard exchange bottles (Camping Gaz 907 from memory). There are two bottles in a locker under the cooker. 4) Off-grid: DC-DC charger fitted so it charges while driving. 1000W inverter, but as wired it only works when on hook-up — the owner says it could probably be rewired to run off the leisure battery. Believed to be a 115W solar panel and a single 100Ah leisure battery. 5) Heating and water: no shower. There was a toilet, but it started to leak and has been removed, so a new one would need buying. Water is cold only, via a submersible pump feeding the sink from a 10-litre fresh water bottle. Waste is currently plumbed to drain outside, though the pipe can easily be cut and run into a container — the owner has only ever used a collapsible bowl and disposed of waste properly. There was a diesel heater fitted, but it started to smell of fumes so the owner removed it rather than sell it on potentially faulty — so there is currently no habitation heating. 6) Damp: no damp check has been done. There are some black marks above the passenger seat, which were there when the owner bought it 18 months ago and haven't got any worse — he thinks a previous owner had a washing line across the cab. 7) Photo of the dent at the top rear right corner: the owner will try to get one next time he's up at the van.

The owner believes it's a timing belt rather than a chain, though he can't say for certain. It hasn't been changed during his ownership. Typical change intervals are around 10 years or 80,000-100,000 miles, and the van has neither done that mileage (24,000) nor reached 10 years old yet.
