Motorhomepig is incredibly proud to offer this 1992 Elddis Emperor. In the world of classic motorhomes, the Elddis Emperor is a true heavyweight, offering a level of interior space and family practicality that is rare to find in modern equivalents. Based on the robust Talbot Express chassis, this 6-berth/6-belt family tourer has been meticulously prepared for the 2026 season. With a new cambelt, new batteries, and an MOT valid until August 2026, this is an honest, mechanically sound classic that is ready for its next chapter.
The "Emperor" Family Layout:
Triple-Double Sleeping: This is a true 6-berth vehicle, featuring three distinct double bed areas:
The Over-Cab Double: A permanent, spacious "loft" bed located above the cab.
The Mid-Section Dinette: Converts into a comfortable double bed.
The Drop-Down Bed: A high-end Elddis feature for this era, providing an additional sleeping area that lowers effortlessly to maximize floor space during the day.
6 Legal Travelling Seatbelts: A standout feature—this Emperor is equipped with six legal seatbelts, making it a genuine 6-person family adventure machine.
Domestic-Style Kitchen: Fully functional and original, featuring a gas hob, oven/grill, and a 3-way fridge.
Rear Washroom: A practical wet-room setup with a cassette toilet, vanity sink, and integrated shower facilities.
Mechanical Integrity & 2026 Preparation:
At 34 years old, maintenance is everything, and this Elddis has been given the "green light" by its current owner:
Major 2026 Service: Recently benefited from a comprehensive service including the most critical maintenance task—a new Cambelt.
Electrical Refresh: Both the cab battery and the leisure battery have been replaced, ensuring reliable starting and consistent power while camping.
MOT Confidence: The vehicle is being sold with an MOT valid until August 2026, confirming its roadworthiness for the full upcoming season.
High-Spec Enhancements:
Off-Grid Connectivity: Features an integrated Satellite Dish, perfect for cozy evenings in.
Towing Capability: Fitted with a robust Tow Bar, allowing you to bring along a small trailer or a car on an A-frame.
Classic Driving: A right-hand drive (RHD) manual, offering the nostalgic and "connected" driving experience that fans of the Talbot Express love.
Transparent Condition & Notes:
At Motorhomepig, we pride ourselves on absolute transparency:
Classic Heritage: As a 1992 Elddis, it possesses a charming "retro" aesthetic. While it has been mechanically pampered, it remains an honest classic with the character and patina expected of its age.
Integrity: Supplied with 2 sets of keys and confirmed HPI clear with no outstanding finance.
Reg: J991 EYB

Questions & Answers
Buyer is asking about the weight of the motorhome as shown on the V5 document. The vehicle history report shows GVW of 2,900kg, the listing says 3,500kg, and the seller marked it as over 3,500kg requiring C1 licence. Need clarification on the exact V5 weight.
The V5 doesn't actually show the weight. However, the VIN plate shows 4,600kg, which Brian believes was the advertised weight when he originally bought the motorhome. Brian has provided photos of both the VIN plate and V5 for reference.
