Questions & Answers

Q

Buyer Leighton Wheeler enquired via the listing and asked for pictures of the beds laid out.

A

The owner is happy to take photos with the beds made up — he's out at the moment and will get them once he's home, later today.

Q

Leighton Wheeler (buyer, Norfolk, currently working in the Salisbury/Warminster area for two weeks) has enquired on the Ci Riviera. His firm line is a current hab check on paper. Seller details list "occasional" hab checks and partial service history (mislaid since a house move), so I can't answer him from what we hold. Also awaiting the bed photos the owner agreed to take.

A

The habitation check was done by the previous owner, but the owner has lost all the paperwork for it, so there's no report or certificate available. The service history is still missing since the move. The owner isn't planning to pay for a new habitation check, but a buyer is very welcome to arrange (and pay for) their own inspection.

Q

Leighton Wheeler enquired via AutoTrader on 5 Sept on the 2003 Ci Riviera (£18,000, Shepton Mallet). He has emailed a list of mechanical/history questions (cambelt, clutch/suspension/brakes, DMF, usage, tyre age, service paperwork) and asked whether the owner would pay for a habitation check. He's had a bad experience with a previous purchase that was condemned, so he now wants a current hab check on paper before viewing anything.

A

The owner has been told by the previous owner that the cambelt was changed at 36,000 miles. That's the only history he has at the moment — the habitation check was done by the previous owner but all the paperwork has been lost, and the service history still hasn't turned up since the move. He isn't planning to have a habitation check carried out himself, but a buyer is welcome to arrange their own inspection.

How Buying Works

We make buying a motorhome safe, simple, and stress-free. Here's how we help you every step of the way.

1

Find Your Perfect Match

Our site is not open to the public. All sellers are under exclusive 90-day contracts with Motorhome Pig, having signed legally binding agreements. We verify the owner's identity and ownership and run HPI, finance and theft checks on every vehicle — the condition itself is yours to judge in person when you view it.

2

Meet the Real Owner

We arrange your viewing at the motorhome's location and give you everything you need to make a confident decision — including a simple checklist of what to look at, from damp and habitation to the engine and paperwork. No pressure, no salesperson — just you, the owner, and the motorhome. Take your time and ask anything.

3

Secure Handover

We provide finance options, handover guidance, and support with the V5 and paperwork. No buyer fees — the price you see is the price you pay.

💚 No Buyer Fees— The price you see is exactly what you pay. We're here to help, not add costs.

More Than Just a Motorhome

Motorhome Pig can introduce you to our partners for finance, free 14-day driveaway insurance, and vehicle repair plans.

Motorhome Pig is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We introduce customers to FCA-authorised partners for finance and insurance, and to Warranty First (a Motor Ombudsman-accredited repair plan provider) for warranty.
