I'm going to start this tour of the Burstner from the inside and show the beds and with all the cupboard space at the back and windows that all windows have got fly screens and are openable. The configuration is that we have steps to come down to be able to use the facilities and they proved to be no problem. Our original van which we bought in 2021 had exactly the same and it was one of the things that we certainly liked. This has got plenty of storage and the steps go in there and if I lift this up we can see that I've got a wardrobe in there but plenty of room for loads of stuff and also on this side sort of wardrobey thing for other items of clothing and we just leave that out like that.
Plenty of lighting and proven to be staggeringly comfortable. These mattresses are absolutely superb and the wife's put toppers on anyway but really comfortable. So talking about coming down the stairs earlier on that takes us into the necessarium. So we have the toilet there which is pretty standard and then round to the wash basin with the hot and cold water that we use all the time.
Plenty of cupboard space and above and below. So I'll just switch off the lights. So opposite there is the shower room and to be honest we've hardly ever used it. I think we've both used it once in all the time we've had it but it did become a pretty standard room for storage of all bits and pieces and junk and things like that.
There we go switch the light off and if you want more privacy while you're having a shower or whatever there is this door which blocks us off from the bedroom. Incidentally underneath here the whole way back under there is the garage which I'll be showing on another separate video. Right coming forward we've got the the fridge freezer which is great size and absolutely superb and we leave it open when we're not using it like that and above there is the control panel and the heating panel. Coming around from there is the three burner hob and here is the is the sink and with the tap and hot and cold water.
Incidentally underneath this drawer there's the taps for switching off the gas which again was a bit of a godsend because if you're traveling abroad you've got to switch off the gas when you're going to on the ships and it's a bit of a bit of a pain but there's plenty of room in in the drawers for all sorts of bits and pieces that are required in the kitchen. Here's the oven. Let me just put this back. The oven and then more storage space.
Oh yes coming up here we have air conditioning and that in the summer was an absolute godsend. I would not be without one in a motorhome now. A complete convert that's one we didn't have on the previous van and frankly it was it was one of the big factors that pushing us towards changing. You can see here we've got loads and loads of space that's the aerial system up there for the wi-fi but just loads of cupboard space.
Oh I also I put this in I put an extra shelf there. My wife loves cooking and is a very good cook and so I made this up and it's been an ideal place for for doing lots of preparation in the cooking but actually where this is is where the one of the extra two seats seat belted seats seat areas are. Now oh another part we did this this window in the top here. When we bought this from Burstner we had the option of the bigger window or the smaller one and we stuck we went for the big one because we just like lots of lights in here.
More cupboard space here. Niggles on the old van really were a lot to do with the seating at the front so the seats were very small and a bit of a pain. We like these larger seat areas here and I'm not sure how they've done it but the the table with this unit has just proven to be so much better than the old one and the way it moves and the way it supports itself and it made a big difference and it's eliminated a large part of the niggles that we had. As you see we've got two captain's seats they've been a godsend and frankly if I park myself in my my usual position you get a very nice view of the whole van and how it operates.
So if I turn around now within my seat the whole motorized area I haven't got the key here with me has been great. The nine speed gearbox on this is fabulous and as you can see it is an automatic. Stepping onto this coming around in into this if I just sort of show the floor it's flat all the way through. Now on the previous van there was a step there and that was a I don't know it just was a tremendous niggle.
All the windows at the front here have got the blind areas and again Boesner have gone for quality here. I hadn't realized it when we bought it but the difference in the quality of these ones compared to frankly the lot cheaper ones in the other van which was a quality van was it's chalk and cheese. It's just brilliant and I never had a problem with those. So here we go.
Oh yeah so we've fitted this container here to hold the coffees and that whilst we're traveling but it still gives us full access to the the access panel there the entrance there. I think that's about it. I can't think of anything else. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
