Questions & Answers
Buyer Paul Hesketh (Manchester) is very interested but wants to understand the rear seat rotation/table seat arrangement and has requested extra photos of the front/dash plus a phone walk-round video.
The double and single passenger bench seats each swivel — there's a lever at the base of each seat, so they can be individually turned to face forwards or round to face backwards, and the seat backs are then lowered. Behind those bench seats there are two fixed seats with a table in between; the table unclips and lowers to seat level to form the base, and the cushions go over the top to make up a double or single bed. The owner is also going to send over some photos to help explain the layout, and hopefully a walk-round video.
Buyer Lee Hill asked when the van was imported, when it was converted, and whether it's been undersealed.
The conversion was carried out by a professional team, though the owner doesn't know the exact year it was done. He doesn't believe the underside has been sealed, but says it looks pretty clean with no signs of rust. He doesn't have the actual import date to hand — he's going to look through the paperwork to see if he can find anything useful.
Lawrence Bartram enquired about service history, damp/damage, previous owners and price on the 2005 Toyota Alphard listing.
The owner has had the van around 2-3 years (he's abroad at the moment so doesn't have the paperwork to hand). In that time it's seen plenty of rain and he's never noticed or felt any damp. No damage, other than some flaking paint on the roof which has been professionally resprayed and now looks perfect. The front offside wheel bearing was replaced 18 months ago.

A quick honest note
Because you're buying directly from the owner, the condition of the motorhome is yours to judge on the day - and that's a good thing (it's why there's no dealer markup). We verify ownership and run an HPI check; the motorhome's condition is the one thing best judged in person. We'll give you a checklist so you can view like a pro and satisfy yourself everything's spot-on before you buy.
Our checks cover the seller and the registers, not the vehicle itself, and they rely on data supplied to us by third parties, so we can't accept responsibility for errors or omissions in it. However thorough our checks are, please arrange your own independent inspection and your own history check before you commit to buying.
