Questions & Answers

Q

Buyer asked if the Bongo is OK to drive in city ULEZ zones.

A

The owner has confirmed that the Bongo is not ULEZ / clean air zone compliant.

Q

Buyer Allan Johnson enquired via eBay asking for the reg to check MOT history. We sent AVI 5374 from the listing; at 14:11 on 8 Oct 2026 he replied it isn't registered on the checker. Asking owner to confirm exact reg.

A

The registration on the advert (AVI 5374) was the owner's personal plate, which has now been taken off. The Bongo is back on its original registration, MC52 TEJ, and the owner has the new V5C showing this registration. MC52 TEJ is the one to use on the gov.uk MOT checker.

Q

Buyer Helen enquired via website on 13 Oct 2026 asking "is there a fridge?". No fridge listed in the seller-provided details or advert. Earlier reply told her we'd check with the owner; making sure the question reaches the owner.

A

There isn't a fridge fitted in the Bongo. The owner has been using a 12V cool box that plugs into the van instead.

Q

Buyer Rupert (eBay enquiry, 22 Oct) texted on 23 Oct asking whether the rear wheel arch bodywork issues are rust and whether it is rusty underneath. No viewing or offer on file yet.

A

The owner says the rear wheel arches are fine. There is some rust on the inner sills, but otherwise the underside is generally in good order.

A quick honest note

Because you're buying directly from the owner, the condition of the motorhome is yours to judge on the day - and that's a good thing (it's why there's no dealer markup). We verify ownership and run an HPI check; the motorhome's condition is the one thing best judged in person. We'll give you a checklist so you can view like a pro and satisfy yourself everything's spot-on before you buy.

Our checks cover the seller and the registers, not the vehicle itself, and they rely on data supplied to us by third parties, so we can't accept responsibility for errors or omissions in it. However thorough our checks are, please arrange your own independent inspection and your own history check before you commit to buying.

How Buying Works

We make buying a motorhome safe, simple, and stress-free. Here's how we help you every step of the way.

1

Find Your Perfect Match

Our site is not open to the public. All sellers are under exclusive 90-day contracts with Motorhome Pig, having signed legally binding agreements. We verify the owner's identity and ownership and run HPI, finance and theft checks on every vehicle — the condition itself is yours to judge in person when you view it.

2

Meet the Real Owner

We arrange your viewing at the motorhome's location and give you everything you need to make a confident decision — including a simple checklist of what to look at, from damp and habitation to the engine and paperwork. No pressure, no salesperson — just you, the owner, and the motorhome. Take your time and ask anything.

3

Secure Handover

We provide finance options, handover guidance, and support with the V5 and paperwork. No buyer fees — the price you see is the price you pay.

💚 No Buyer Fees— The price you see is exactly what you pay. We're here to help, not add costs.

More Than Just a Motorhome

Motorhome Pig can introduce you to our partners for finance, free 14-day driveaway insurance, and vehicle repair plans.

Motorhome Pig is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We introduce customers to FCA-authorised partners for finance and insurance, and to Warranty First (a Motor Ombudsman-accredited repair plan provider) for warranty.
