Questions & Answers
Buyer Tim asked about the electrical setup — inverter wattage (if applicable), DC charging and battery/solar detail.
There are two solar panels feeding two lithium leisure batteries. The system is a Victron Energy MultiPlus — a pure sine wave inverter, battery charger and automatic transfer switch in one compact unit. There's a 230V mains hook-up with a socket, plus USB chargers inside the van. The seller isn't sure of the exact wattages/capacities off the top of her head and would need to dig the manuals out to confirm those figures. Also fitted: 2 x Air Excel air conditioning units, Thetford induction hob, CRX refrigeration, Truma diesel heating/hot water system, Scorpion tracker and 5G compact WiFi.
Buyer Amy Hubbard has seen a Quirky Campers advert for what appears to be the same van showing a different sink and heated seats, and wants to know which spec is accurate.
The van has a black sink with an oak lid that sits over it to create extra worktop space. There are no heated cab seats. The Quirky Campers advert was the seller's own listing, which hasn't been active for 2-3 months, and it used exactly the same photos as our advert — the van has never been listed by anyone other than the current owners, so the photos on our listing are the accurate ones.
Buyer Kyle Bourne enquired via AutoTrader on 26 Sep 2026. His first message cut off, and he has now sent these follow-up questions by email. None of them can be answered from the listing or from what the seller has already told us.
1) The mushrooms are stickers/vinyl, not painted. 2) There are no dents in the bodywork, and just one very faint scratch. The owner can send photos of it if you'd like to see it. 3) The van was informally serviced at the start of June 2026. The previous owners had it serviced regularly but lost the paperwork. 4) The rear bed is 5ft 5in and runs across the full width of the van. Someone who is 6ft 1 has slept in it comfortably before. 5) Every living-area window has built-in privacy blinds and insect screens that can be fully opened or closed. The owner hasn't yet said whether there's anything for the front cab windows.
Buyer Sam Watson (eBay enquiry, 3 Oct 2026) asked if the van is sold privately and whether the seller is VAT registered as he's buying for his business. Battery make and solar wattage question already sent to owner separately.
The camper is owned privately by the sellers themselves, not through a business.
Buyer Paul Jones asked for the weight of the van with full water and fuel so he can see the payload.
The owner says the camper was weighed at 3.2 tonnes with a full tank of fresh water (in her words: "the camper's payload is 3.2 tonne, with a full tank of water"). She can't remember whether the fuel tank was full when it was weighed. For reference, the van's maximum permissible mass is 3,500kg.
Buyer Sam Watson (eBay enquiry, 3 Oct 2026) emailed asking for the leisure battery make and the solar panel wattage. The seller said in an earlier answer that she wasn't sure of the exact wattages and would need to find the manuals. The battery make has not been asked before.
The two 200Ah lithium leisure batteries are made by Victron Energy. There are two solar panels, each rated at 440 watts (880W in total).
