Questions & Answers

Q

Buyer asked whether the air suspension is front and rear, and whether the self-levelling is separate. Listing only says air suspension and EMP self-levelers are fitted, with no further detail.

A

The air suspension is on the rear axle. The E&P self-levelling system is a separate, independent system (not part of the air suspension).

Q

Buyer Robert asked a long list of technical questions about the off-grid setup, servicing, heating, MOT advisories, water tanks, levellers, air suspension and oil changes.

A

The owner is abroad at the moment, back on 10 November, and will add any missing details then. His answers: 1) Leisure batteries: not lithium. He'll check the brand and type when he's back. 2) Inverter: 1000W. He doesn't know the brand. 3) Alternator charging: yes, the alternator charges both the engine battery and the leisure batteries. 4) Solar panel and racks: professionally fitted at CL Caravans, Epworth, Doncaster. As far as the owner knows from talking to them about the install, the only roof drilling was for the cable entry. 5) Service history: all servicing in his ownership was done by his Mercedes-trained mechanic. The service book is stamped, but he has no invoices. 6) Gas: gas check done in July. He believes the bottles are in date but isn't sure. They're swapped at Calor. 7) Diesel heater: yes, there's one fitted. 8) MOT advisories: yes, his mechanic dealt with the advisories from the last MOT. The MOT has now run out and the motorhome is booked in for its MOT next week. 9) Fresh and grey water tanks: from memory about 130 litres each. He'll check when he's back. 10) E&P levellers: not serviced or inspected recently. 11) Rear air suspension: not inspected recently, but it works perfectly with no air loss. 12) Oil changes: engine oil and filter have been changed every year, even though he's done under 10,000 miles in 4 years of ownership. He'll ask his mechanic about the gearbox oil.

A quick honest note

Because you're buying directly from the owner, the condition of the motorhome is yours to judge on the day - and that's a good thing (it's why there's no dealer markup). We verify ownership and run an HPI check; the motorhome's condition is the one thing best judged in person. We'll give you a checklist so you can view like a pro and satisfy yourself everything's spot-on before you buy.

Our checks cover the seller and the registers, not the vehicle itself, and they rely on data supplied to us by third parties, so we can't accept responsibility for errors or omissions in it. However thorough our checks are, please arrange your own independent inspection and your own history check before you commit to buying.

How Buying Works

We make buying a motorhome safe, simple, and stress-free. Here's how we help you every step of the way.

1

Find Your Perfect Match

Our site is not open to the public. All sellers are under exclusive 90-day contracts with Motorhome Pig, having signed legally binding agreements. We verify the owner's identity and ownership and run HPI, finance and theft checks on every vehicle — the condition itself is yours to judge in person when you view it.

2

Meet the Real Owner

We arrange your viewing at the motorhome's location and give you everything you need to make a confident decision — including a simple checklist of what to look at, from damp and habitation to the engine and paperwork. No pressure, no salesperson — just you, the owner, and the motorhome. Take your time and ask anything.

3

Secure Handover

We provide finance options, handover guidance, and support with the V5 and paperwork. No buyer fees — the price you see is the price you pay.

💚 No Buyer Fees— The price you see is exactly what you pay. We're here to help, not add costs.

More Than Just a Motorhome

Motorhome Pig can introduce you to our partners for finance, free 14-day driveaway insurance, and vehicle repair plans.

Motorhome Pig is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We introduce customers to FCA-authorised partners for finance and insurance, and to Warranty First (a Motor Ombudsman-accredited repair plan provider) for warranty.
