Buyer is asking whether the VW Crafter has any damages (bodywork, interior, or otherwise)
There is a slight dent to the rear passenger side near the wheel, but it doesn't affect the driving. Everything else is good.
Buyer asking detailed questions about the diesel heater make, solar controller/inverter, and the conversion build (vapour barrier/insulation + process photos).
Sandra has sent two photos which cover the diesel heater (Q1) and the electrical system/solar controller (Q2). On the conversion itself, she's confirmed that insulation and a vapour barrier were fitted to the walls and roof during the build. She doesn't currently have access to the photos showing the insulation process (these are on her late husband's computer), but she's confirmed the work was done.
Buyer Stephen is 6'5" and needs to sleep lengthways; wants bed orientation and length confirmed.
The rear fixed bed is 6'2" long (double bed size) and is positioned lengthways, front-to-back — not across the width of the van.
Buyer Davey Malcolm enquired today via Autotrader on the 2014 VW Crafter Adventure (Lyme Regis, £17,250). He wants a high-spec off-grid system (400-600Ah LiFePO4, 400-600W solar + MPPT, 3000W inverter, DC-DC charging) and has confirmed the use case is long trips with no EHU. We only have "solar panel, inverter, twin leisure batteries" listed, so asking the owner for the actual figures.
The electrical system was designed and installed by a conversion specialist, so the owner doesn't have the exact figures to hand (solar wattage, inverter rating, battery type/Ah or whether there's DC-DC charging). There is a photo of the twin leisure batteries on the listing, and she has sent over a couple of further photos of the electrical set-up which we can share. Her suggestion is that the best way to judge whether it suits off-grid use is to come and see the van in person and look over the system.
