The current mileage is 168,000 miles (the advert's 1,680 figure was a typo).
Buyer has gone through the official MOT history and is asking about repeated front suspension work, sub-frame/arm corrosion advisories, brake wear and fluid leaks, plus how much service history there is and whether there's any damp/damage.
1) Service history: the service book has been lost, but the van has been serviced by the same garage — Auto Care Petrol & Diesel in Aberdare — for over 10 years. The owner is willing to have the van serviced if a buyer is serious about purchasing it. 2) Suspension work: all work relating to the MOT failures was carried out using standard VW parts where possible (no heavy-duty or polybush items). 3) Corrosion advisories: the owner isn't completely certain what was done, but it hasn't appeared on subsequent MOTs, so he believes it was resolved. 4) Brakes and steering: brake pads and discs have been replaced, and a new power steering hose was fitted. 5) Damp/damage: no signs of damp or any damage in the conversion.
