Buyer Paula Stega asked why such a new, low-mileage vehicle is being sold, and where it's located.
The owners are selling for health reasons — the owner's wife has had a couple of small strokes and now struggles with steps and small spaces, so sadly they can no longer make use of the campervan.
Buyer Gary Chan is considering a viewing but wants the precise chassis build date before travelling, as he's coming from some distance away.
The owner has checked the VIN: the chassis was manufactured in France, and the chassis build year is 2022. The van was first registered in December 2024 and the conversion was carried out by Cascade Conversions of Pontyclun, South Wales.
Buyer Gary Chan has an accepted offer of £33,500 on the 2024 Nissan Primastar and is 4+ hours away. Emailed 13 Sep asking for redacted paperwork, the 2022 build vs Dec 2024 registration explanation, awning type, and whether he can complete on the day of viewing. Relaying his questions to the owner.
From the owner: the awning is a removable/drive-away type, not a fixed wind-out awning. On the chassis date, the owner can only say the base van was built in France in 2022, then sent on to be completed as a conversion and brought into the UK — which is why the chassis year and the registration date differ. The conversion was completed on 20 December 2024 and the van was first registered on 17 December 2024. As far as the owner is aware there is no remaining Nissan warranty. He has also photographed the paperwork (V5C, purchase and conversion invoices) and sent it over to us — we'll check it over and pass it on with any personal details blanked out.
