1999 Romahome Duo Plus
Fully Managed Private Sale
Key Specifications
Motorhome Pig is pleased to offer this 1999 Romahome Duo Plus as a broker, on behalf of the private owner.
The Romahome Duo Plus is a compact, lightweight campervan conversion based on the Citroën Berlingo, making it a practical and easy-to-drive choice for couples or those new to motorhoming. It falls within the standard car licence weight limit, so no additional licence is required. The main sleeping arrangement is a dinette conversion, and the vehicle is a non-smoker.
Ownership and history
The owner advises he bought the Duo Plus in February 2013 with 54,115 miles on the clock, so it has been in the same hands for over a decade. The cambelt was changed in 2022 at 85,000 miles. Mileage now stands at 93,600.
The owner has chosen to show the van exactly as it is — it hasn't been cleaned or valeted for the photographs, so what you see is genuinely how it stands.
The owner advises the vehicle comes with a V5c, owner's manual and some receipts. Two keys are included. MOT is valid until August 2027. It also has power steering.
A portable/cassette toilet is included with the van, and the owner advises it has never been used.
The owner advises there is no heating or hot water system fitted — this model doesn't come with either as standard, though standalone portable heaters are readily available from camping suppliers.
Offered by Motorhome Pig as a broker. Available to view at Clevedon, Avon.

Questions & Answers
Buyer Jamie asked whether the Romahome Duo has power assisted steering - not covered in the listing details.
Yes, it has power steering (PAS).
Andrew Harris enquired via eBay on 9 Sept 2026 asking for more interior pictures of the 1999 Romahome Duo (Clevedon). He has texted again pushing for help, so asking the owner directly for interior photos.
Yes - the owner is back home tomorrow and will take interior photos then.
Andrew Atkinson enquired via AutoTrader on 9 Sept about the 1999 Romahome Duo (£7,500, Clevedon). He asked for interior photos; I pointed him to our listing page but he's correctly noted there are no interior/habitation photos there. Asking the owner directly rather than raising a task.
Yes - the owner is back home tomorrow and will take interior photos then.
Buyer Mandie Redhead enquired on the 1999 Romahome Duo today (10 Sept) asking about the cambelt, gearbox/clutch and damp. Cambelt (2022 at 85k) and MOT (Aug 2027) already answered from the seller details; gearbox, clutch and damp are not in our context. She has also asked generally whether owners are happy for independent mechanical/habitation checks. She has a £10,000 ceiling and has just walked away from a 1991 Fiat Ducato over no MOT and possible welding.
The owner says the gearbox is very good and positive, and the clutch behaves as it should. There's no sign of any water ingress — the body is moulded fibreglass and doesn't produce condensation.

Buyer Stuart (eBay enquiry, 1999 Romahome Duo) emailed 15 Sep asking for a photo of the toilet as he's a long way from Clevedon. Owner previously said he'd take interior photos when back home.
The owner has already sent interior shots of the van. If the buyer would like anything more specific — including a photo of the portable/cassette toilet — just say what's wanted and he's happy to take it.
Buyer Stuart (eBay enquiry on the 1999 Romahome Duo) emailed 15 Sept confirming he'd like the toilet photo the owner offered. Owner previously said he'd already sent interior shots and was happy to take anything more specific if we said what was wanted. Buyer is at ML11 9EN (Lanark), a long way from Clevedon.

The owner can't get the extra photos (living area, kitchen, dashboard/controls and an outside walk-round) today, but hopes to take them tomorrow.
Clare Davies enquired via the website with a list of questions and specifically asked whether the Romahome Duo has a Pullman lounge - not covered in the listing or previous seller answers.
No, the Romahome Duo does not have a Pullman lounge. The main sleeping arrangement is a dinette conversion.
John Mitchell enquired via Gumtree asking whether the extra rear seats are in situ and where the portable toilet is located/stored in the van, alongside asking for interior photos.
The extra rear travel seats aren't fitted at the moment. The owner keeps them in his garage, along with the table. The portable/cassette toilet is currently kept in the front passenger-side pod, and it can be used there. It can also go in the awning or anywhere else that suits.
Buyer asked "Deliver?" on the website enquiry form for the 1999 Romahome Duo.
Yes, the owner says he would consider delivering the Romahome Duo to Royston, Hertfordshire.
Buyer Colin (eBay enquiry, travelling from Cambridgeshire) asked by SMS on 14 Oct 2026 "is this a duo plus". The listing says Romahome Duo, but there's nothing to confirm whether it's the Plus variant, so I'm asking the owner.
It's the Duo Plus model, not the standard Duo.
