This coachbuilt motorhome is based on the Fiat Ducato and offers a versatile layout well suited to families. The rear lounge converts into a large double bed in the evening, and there is also an over-cab double and a pull-out double, giving flexible sleeping for up to six. The owner advises the vehicle is from a non-smoking household.
The owner advises a bike rack is fitted. Documentation includes the V5C, MOT, service receipts, service history and the original manual. The owner advises the last service was carried out in March 2026. Three keys are included. The MOT is valid until March 2027. A water tank would need to be installed.
Please note: the owner has advised there is a leak and some damp at the rear left of the habitation area. This is being shared openly so buyers know before they travel, and it is something to look at in person when viewing. The price has been changed accordingly.

Yes, the seller is happy to drive the motorhome to the buyer in Plymouth for a cash price of £150, payable on the day of delivery. Delivery would take place after the sale is agreed and the motorhome paid for.

The front cab seats do not swivel. On the registration P9 TWO, the owner says whether the plate stays with the motorhome would depend on the offer — it's something they'd want to agree as part of the price rather than a straight yes or no.

Yes — there's a 240v mains hook-up on the van. The heating is a diesel heater (not gas/blown air off the hook-up).

Paul Rapps (buyer, £6,500 offer on the 1996 Auto-Trail Scout, listing b72e87c0) emailed on 3 Sep asking whether a water tank was never fitted or was removed. Our advert says a tank would need installing, and a colleague has queried internally whether that's right, so we need the owner to confirm the position rather than guess.
The owner says the van didn't have a water tank when they bought it, so they're unsure whether one was ever fitted or removed, or whether any pipework remains.
Buyer Jodie asked about service history, damp/damage, previous owners and tyre condition, and said she can't see any MOT records when checking the plate — asking whether the plate has been changed and whether copies of recent MOTs are available.
P9 TWO is a private/cherished plate and it will NOT be included in the sale — the owner has now put it into retention. The motorhome will carry the registration P162 RYK. The owner confirms they have all the paperwork, including the MOT certificates and service history, in the folder with the vehicle.
Richard Hoare enquired via AutoTrader on 14 Sep 2026 about the 1996 Auto-Trail Scout (£6,500, Paignton). He is 185cm tall and internal height is a key requirement. He has asked for internal height, width and length to the back of the driver's seat. Asked the owner directly.
The owner has measured the inside of the habitation area with a tape measure (rough figures, taken by hand): internal standing height approx 80 inches (6ft 8in / around 203cm), internal length approx 190 inches (15ft 10in / around 483cm) from the rear back to the driver's seat, and internal width approx 83 inches (6ft 11in / around 211cm). She's also taken photos of the tape measure in place for each one.
