2012 Volkswagen Transporter T5.1 S-Line Campervan

Offered by Motorhome Pig as a broker. Available to view at Lincoln, Lincolnshire.

This short-wheelbase Transporter in black has been converted by Reborn Campers. The main sleeping arrangement is a rock 'n' roll bed, which makes it a practical choice for couples. The owner confirms it weighs under 3,500 kg, so it can be driven on a standard UK car licence.

The owner advises that the cambelt has been changed and that the vehicle has been a non-smoking van. The owner also advises that the V5C and receipts are available. The private number plate is not included in the sale.

Questions & Answers

Q

Lauren (based in Glossop) wants detailed answers on cambelt, service history, DPF/EGR and usage, kitchen equipment, V5 body type, gas, damp, known faults and MOT advisories before booking a viewing.

A

The owner has recently moved house and is still sorting through the paperwork, but this is what he can confirm so far: the van was last serviced on 17 September 2026, at the same time as its MOT. An ABS sensor fault was found and the sensor was replaced. It has never had any DPF warnings. There's no sink or hob fitted, but there are units that could house them, and there's a space for a fridge but no fridge fitted. The rock 'n' roll bed comes with an M1 category test certificate. It has a solar panel, 2 x 130 leisure batteries, a split charge relay and 240v hookup. The V5C shows the body type as "Van - Side Windows". There's no gas fitted. There are no leaks or damp. The private plate has been taken off and the van is back on its original plates. He didn't have the cambelt date or receipt, or a count of the service stamps, to hand yet while he finds his paperwork after the move.

Q

Buyer Alex (eBay enquiry 29 Sept) replied to re-engagement on 11 Oct 2026 saying he's interested but not purchasing until March 2027. He has now asked if the owners would be open to a holding deposit with purchase in March. No offer or viewing on file.

A

The owner says he'd prefer to sell outright, but he hasn't ruled out a holding deposit now with the purchase in March. It depends on the final sale price and how much the deposit would be. He's asked what deposit you'd be putting down and what price you have in mind.

A quick honest note

Because you're buying directly from the owner, the condition of the motorhome is yours to judge on the day - and that's a good thing (it's why there's no dealer markup). We verify ownership and run an HPI check; the motorhome's condition is the one thing best judged in person. We'll give you a checklist so you can view like a pro and satisfy yourself everything's spot-on before you buy.

Our checks cover the seller and the registers, not the vehicle itself, and they rely on data supplied to us by third parties, so we can't accept responsibility for errors or omissions in it. However thorough our checks are, please arrange your own independent inspection and your own history check before you commit to buying.

How Buying Works

We make buying a motorhome safe, simple, and stress-free. Here's how we help you every step of the way.

1

Find Your Perfect Match

Our site is not open to the public. All sellers are under exclusive 90-day contracts with Motorhome Pig, having signed legally binding agreements. We verify the owner's identity and ownership and run HPI, finance and theft checks on every vehicle — the condition itself is yours to judge in person when you view it.

2

Meet the Real Owner

We arrange your viewing at the motorhome's location and give you everything you need to make a confident decision — including a simple checklist of what to look at, from damp and habitation to the engine and paperwork. No pressure, no salesperson — just you, the owner, and the motorhome. Take your time and ask anything.

3

Secure Handover

We provide finance options, handover guidance, and support with the V5 and paperwork. No buyer fees — the price you see is the price you pay.

💚 No Buyer Fees— The price you see is exactly what you pay. We're here to help, not add costs.

More Than Just a Motorhome

Motorhome Pig can introduce you to our partners for finance, free 14-day driveaway insurance, and vehicle repair plans.

Motorhome Pig is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We introduce customers to FCA-authorised partners for finance and insurance, and to Warranty First (a Motor Ombudsman-accredited repair plan provider) for warranty.
