Questions & Answers
Buyer Neil asked about the extent of rust underneath, wheel arches, sills, battery tray, and whether there's rust in the cab/footwells given rust around the window.
The seller hasn't been underneath to check, so can't confirm the state of the underside, sills or battery tray, but says there's no rust in the wheel arches. They'll try to take some photos tomorrow.
Buyer Kim saw the steering box advisories on the MOT history and asked whether it affects the steering/drive.
The van had power steering fitted but it isn't working at the moment (which is why it wasn't advertised as having power steering). The steering box advisory doesn't affect the MOT and the van drives fine — it just drives like a van without power steering.
Buyer Graham asked about service history and when the cam belt was last changed.
The cam belt was last changed in May 2023.
Buyer Jenny asked whether the van was genuinely built in 2005 or built earlier and registered in the UK in 2005. The vehicle is recorded as an import, so the build date and UK registration date may differ.
The owner is fairly sure the van was imported in 2005, but they're away from home at the moment and will double-check the V5C when they're back, hopefully Friday.

Seller's ID verified by Motorhome PigA quick honest note
Because you're buying directly from the owner, the condition of the motorhome is yours to judge on the day - and that's a good thing (it's why there's no dealer markup). We verify ownership and run an HPI check; the motorhome's condition is the one thing best judged in person. We'll give you a checklist so you can view like a pro and satisfy yourself everything's spot-on before you buy.
Our checks cover the seller and the registers, not the vehicle itself, and they rely on data supplied to us by third parties, so we can't accept responsibility for errors or omissions in it. However thorough our checks are, please arrange your own independent inspection and your own history check before you commit to buying.
