Motorhome Pig is proud to offer this 2011 Volkswagen Transporter T5.1 as a broker, on behalf of the private owner.
This is a converted motorhome with a rock-and-roll bed and pop-top roof, well suited to couples and small families. The van sleeps four and seats five, with swivel cab seats for flexible living. Questions & Answers
Buyer asked about the control panel and any marks/scratches on the 2011 VW Transporter T5.1
The panel monitors battery level but not water — water is monitored visually. The van has normal wear and tear for a 2011 vehicle. It's not perfect but still in good condition for its age. No damage to the interior.

Buyer is asking about the condition underneath the van (any rust?), whether there's any upcoming work it would benefit from, and what heating/hot water system the van has.
1) Underside condition: There are spots of rust on the exhaust, but the underside itself is sound. 2) Maintenance: The timing belt and water pump were changed by Long and Small garage in Flimby in January 2024, so no major upcoming maintenance needed. 3) Heating & hot water: The van doesn't have a diesel heater. Water is heated on the stove.

Buyer asked whether all electrics and gas connections are working ok on the VW Transporter T5.1.
All electrics and gas connections work properly, including ceiling lights etc. The EHU point is at the rear of the van underneath, nicely tucked away. The gas hob is fully working and has been used extensively. It has an electric spark ignition, though the seller typically uses a match or lighter. The window behind the hob slides open for ventilation. The van does not come with a gas cylinder, but the gas cylinder housing area is purpose-built and sealed.

Buyer Jo asked whether the van starts from cold and whether it passed its last MOT with any advisories.
Yes, the van starts fine from cold — first time, every time. The seller did recently replace the battery as it had become a little sluggish to start, but since the new battery it starts reliably with no issues. She has also provided a copy of the current MOT and the receipt for the new battery.

Buyer Clare is keen and asking about wider bodywork rust and whether the clutch/dual-mass flywheel has ever needed work, before arranging a viewing.
The rear coil springs have now been replaced by a mechanic (along with a new fan belt), done on Friday 24th July 2026, so the corrosion flagged on the coil springs has been sorted.

A quick honest note
Because you're buying directly from the owner, the condition of the motorhome is yours to judge on the day — and that's a good thing (it's why there's no dealer markup). We verify ownership and history; the motorhome's condition is the one thing best judged in person. We'll give you a checklist so you can view like a pro and satisfy yourself everything's spot-on before you buy.
